IVPLAY FROM THE BEGINNING

IVPLAY 1 – Something New, Something Different, Something directly out of the box

August 2008 IVPLAY set in motion an attempt to get people interactive again. In a non-judgmental, casual evening of fun and games. IVPLAY aspired to foster the “kid at heart” while revitalizing childhood memories. Through a rainy night the 1st ever adult game night proved to be a success taking on a life of it’s own.

IVPLAY 2 – The competition begins

IVPLAY 3 – A new location brings plenty of new faces and tons of jokes

IVPLAY 4 – Introduction of the Wii

The successful introduction of the Wii game system at ivplay was an excellent interactive addition. Not only were the bowling and tennis battles strong. The Wii balance board had people competing with an interactive hula hoop. YUP!! Imagine men and women a like competing for the most hula’s while a Mii character threw hoops at them to catch over their heads. An amusing visual to those playing and those hesitant to try it out.

IVPLAY 5 – Murder!!!!

With a killer on the loose – players had to stop him before he stopped them. Remember murder or the winking game from elementary school? A large game within a small game making it almost impossible to focus on what you were playing. At any moment the killer could take you out.  By the end of the evening several people had figured him out. Each taking away a prize for their excellent detective work. Everyone else on the other hand was given a sticker to mark their demise. Musical Chairs was a hit BUT……. it was very evident that IVPLAY was the spawn of a very intense women vs men competition. Players took sides, couples divided, as it became player vs playette for everything from taboo to wii.

IVPLAY 6 – Battle of the Sexes

Up for grabs…. ULTIMATE IVPLAY GENDER SUPREMACY

With the men out numbered by the women it was a slow start for the ladies. The men seemed to dominate the chess board, the card table and pictionary. They even managed to pulled off a few Jenga wins. As the night progressed the ladies stepped up and the gentlemen fell slow and hard…. literally (DJ PPLUS)

Domination took over and the ladies became unstoppable. Pulling big numbers in Musical Chairs and Twister. It was clearly a ladies night. FINAL SCORE FOR THE NIGHT!!!
